In science Friday we explored some cold weather facts. We learned about the ice age and why snow is white. We added in some math by learning that snowflakes are symmetrical. We made snowflakes and other symmetrical designs using geoboards. It was a great activity for a cold day.

On Friday Ms. Vaughn's class
enjoyed some tech time with Mr. Peak exploring the Code and Go Mice.
Students loved using their creativity to explore.

In math on Friday we practiced 2 digit subtraction by playing Blooket. The students had a blast answering questions and competing for first place. They all had randomized nicknames so they were the only ones to know what place they got which made it more fun!

These students earned the spots as on the student leaderboards!

Friday we discussed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The students watched snippets of his I Have a Dream speech and also watched a video about MLK by kid president. They were so much in awe that they asked to hear it a second time and some recorded it on their iPads.

More symmetrical and snowflake designs created by Mrs. Tierney's students on Friday. What better way to learn about symmetry than to create symmetrical designs.

Sometimes inside recess can be just as fun as outside!
