Damon Parker, with The Jones Project, spoke to Parsons Middle School students about mental health awareness, and equipped students with tools and information they can use if they are facing depression or anxiety, or find they are contemplating suicide.

The Technology Student Association (TSA) is selling luminaries for $5 to honor survivors, those battling cancer, and to remember loved ones. The luminaries will decorate Forest Park on the night of Relay for Life - Sept. 9th. We are taking donations through Sept. 8th. We will have a 50/50 pot at the Parsons/LCHS football game on Sept. 8th and also be selling luminaries that night.

Mr. Krull's students performed an experiment Wednesday in the science lab working with different colorful fluids and measuring their density.






Middle School band students in Ms. Cornelio's class practice with reading music and playing their instruments, keeping proper time and learning when to rest.



Mrs. Helton's class had their first cooking lesson of the year! The students made brownies today!

8th grade ELA ✍🏻 uses the Color My Writing model to critique different essays. 💙💛





Ceramics class had a grand time going down to Labette Creek to harvest clay today. The students learned how to find clay by identifying its different traits. We will use this clay to create pots that tell a story about themselves.


Middle school chamber orchestra practiced listening skills today by following specific instructions on how to draw a dog (they didn't know what they were drawing)!




Orchestra students practice maintaining good bow hands while keeping the balloons in the air!
