Apple week continues for 2nd grade. Today Mrs. Tierney's class taste tested apples and chose our favorites. Students graphed the results and did a math worksheet using those results. Later they enjoyed more apple slices, this time with caramel and cream cheese fruit dip. So good!

Mrs.Waun's classroom is full of writers! We have been practicing writing opinion pieces for this first 9 weeks! We had some fun with this one and wrote about a silly animal that we wish we could have as a pet!

Thank you to the Parsons Rotary Club. They gave each third grade student a dictionary and ruler today. We are lucky to have such a great community that supports Parsons Schools.

Super proud of these students today! They did a wonderful job on their Johnny Appleseed readers theater! So happy so many parents and grandparents were able to make it. I know it's hard during the day.

It's a beautiful day for a besties picture at recess!

Adrian is my sunshine! He has been working hard trying to make his AR goal!! He can do anything!!

These kiddos purchased the opportunity to eat in the classroom from the class store. We had a great time!

Two of the students read a book together to the class today. One read the words of Gerald the elephant and the other read the words of Piggie. They did such a great job! The rest of the class was so so respectful while they read.

Third graders visited the Parsons Historical Museum on Friday afternoon.

Kids having fun at afternoon recess on this beautiful Friday!

Garfield students visited the Parsons Historical Museum, Iron Horse Museum and Farm Heritage Museum Friday to learn more about local history. The field trip ties into one of their social studies units. Some of the items fascinated them, like some of the old cameras.
