Garfield Orchestra practicing for their concert. May 1st, 6 pm, high school auditorium!

Mrs. Tierney's class had special guests today. The students loved watching and holding the baby chicks. We have learned some fun facts about chickens and eggs this year so having some visitors was a fun part of our continued learning. One of Ms. Wright's students stopped in too.

Last week Mrs. Tierney's students were treated to an extra science lesson when a classmate brought in owl pellets. He taught the class what he knows about the pellets and how they are created. Then students got to dissect one on their own. It was a great learning experience!

Mrs. Tierney's class worked hard building towers from index cards. We learned about the 4 C's of engineering. These are Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity. The students had fun building towers and asked to do it again the next week.
