
Students in Chris Ball's wood working class try to put last minute touches on pinewood derby cars to race against employees at Ducommun. Other school competitions put the students behind in building their cars, but they are giving it their best shot to finish and compete today.


District maintenance personnel move a robot on a frame toward the rear entrance door to the robotics technology classroom. The robot was donated by Magnum Systems to provide PHS students real world, hands on experience with such systems currently used in industry.


Viking Track traveled to Indy yesterday and had many of medalist.
Trey Logan and Jason Smart took first place in their events, with Trey throwing a new PR in Javelin of 154-10 and Jason winning both 100 and 200M dashes.
To finish off the throws, Demonta Kendrick finished 2nd in shot, with a new PR, and Braelyn Hinman-Mitchell placing third in Javelin.
Viking jumpers were led by Makai Baugh who placed 2nd in both triple and long jump. Jason Smart and Saylah Rea jumped well, placing 3rd in their triple jump events.
Viking runners had success with Colten Carson starting off the meet with a third place finish in the 3200. Nassir Hagood followed Smart in 100 with a 2nd place finish. Brelin Summers also placed 2nd in the 110 Hurdles and 3rd in the 300.
Boys relay teams competed well, 4x1 took 2nd place and the 4x4 team ended the night with a third place finish. Overall, the boys team took 2nd place!

This week in Viking Coalition students teamed up to design imaginary animals and build models of them focusing on teamwork.








Parsons High School seniors engaged in another right of passage Wednesday - the receipt of their caps and gowns, bringing closer the reality they are graduating from their K-12 education in just a few weeks. You're almost there seniors! Graduation is May 12.

Walk In: PHS Auditorium 6:30. Attendees lined up by 6:20 p.m. Enter through east doors by aux gym.
Prom/Dance: Parsons Conference Center. Students must be at conference center by 7:30. Doors shut at 7:30. Students will not be allowed re-entry.

PHS students in the horticulture class took on the responsibility of cleaning and caring for the flower beds in front of the school. Today they planted new flowers and shrubs and laid out landscape fabric in preparation for mulch to be spread. Thank you students for caring!
