Mr. Holmes' class concluded their unit on natural disasters by experimenting with "Survive the Quake" STEM engineering kits.
Mr. Holmes' class completed a "sugar shake" science experiment to model the process of erosion. Instead of rocks, we used sugar cubes!
After reading about earthquakes, we used engineering kits to test and predict about different structures that would be better in areas that experience earthquakes.
Mrs Stover's class won our weekly attendance competition. They had ZERO absences! They won a Viking Basketball donated by Coach Houk, PHS Viking Boys Basketball Head Coach. Thank you Coach Houk!

Vinyl records are making a comeback. For some, the appreciation never vanished. For many youth in the digital music age, vinyl records are foreign. Music teacher Ryan Bearrick Friday introduced students to vinyl records, how to handle them and use a record player. Vikes Rock!
More Perfect Attendance winners. We today during lunch we "spun" the wheel of names and rewarded those student who had perfect attendance with ring pops.
Kaden and Skylar won our Weekly Perfect Attendance Drawing. We had 153 (80%) students with perfect attendance this week.
