Hard Work Pays Off…Go VIKES!
In Mr. Holmes’ class, students are working on a scientific investigation to see which piece of bread will mold first. We have untouched bread, bread that everyone touched with dirty hands, bread that everyone touched after using Germ-X, bread that was rubbed around the classroom, and bread that was rubbed on the floor. Which do you think will mold first? (You’ll also notice some illustrations of our book we are reading: The Witches.)
No school, February 17 due to the freezing rain & dropping temperatures. Be safe out there Vikings!!
USD 503 will be checking road conditions and the updated forecast early in the morning Thursday, February 17th. A decision to have school will be made by 6:00 AM. Parents will be notified if school is canceled.

Three awesome students from Mrs. Brimm’s class got positive office referrals today!
Today, Mr. Holmes’ class used macaroni noodles to represent quotation marks and commas. They used them to properly punctuate sentences containing dialogue—lots of fun!! 😄
