Students in Mrs. Brimm's class conducted another experiment today. While learning about chemical changes, students put "chemicals" into a sealed bag and observed how the gas bubbles caused the bag to inflate and sometimes pop! They really enjoyed this one!
After listening to "Spiders" in Mrs. Shields' class, students worked on a spider craft, and together, came up with the main idea and key details that support it. Students then listened to a spider documentary while working to get some ideas on how to design their spider.
Glow stick investigation- we learned about energy and which glow stick will be brighter.

In 5th grade we discovered what happened when we combined an acid (vinegar) with baking soda.
While learning about physical and chemical changes in Mrs. Brimm's class, students conducted an experiment to write a hidden message and then made it visible with a blackberry. They created a chemical reaction.
