Mrs. Armstrong's class played some of our brand new games from a Donors Choose project. We had to find the cause and effect of passages and make inferences.
Mrs. Armstrong's reading intervention group enjoyed the beautiful morning by reading their book outside.
Mr. Holmes is helping his students work through vocabulary topics on IXL.
Ms. Stover's class started our day with positive vibes. Today is "Thankful Thursday." Each student wrote something or someone they were thankful for.
The 3-D printer is up & running in Miss Jones' classroom! We are so excited to design prints this year.
Mr. Holmes' students are playing a pizza-themed grammar game this week. They have to sort the correct "pepperonis" with word phrases on them into the correctly-labeled "fragment" or "sentence" pizza box. Students that sorted everything correctly won a free Pizza Hut coupon!
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is selling luminaries for $5 to honor survivors, those battling cancer, and to remember loved ones. The luminaries will decorate Forest Park on the night of Relay for Life - Sept. 9th. We are taking donations through Sept. 8th. We will have a 50/50 pot at the Parsons/LCHS football game on Sept. 8th and also be selling luminaries that night.

Viking TSA goal is to raise $500 to help fight cancer.
Students in Mr. Willis' class took a science test Wednesday to show they know the names of different types of lab equipment they will be using this year. Mr. Willis had one student review the names of some of the objects before they got started on the test.
Today was "Tell Us Tuesday" in Miss Jones' class. Students brought an item to tell the class about, then answered questions from their peers. The students were able to demonstrate active listening and public speaking skills.
