Pumpkin Pie Day was a success! We read about the history of pumpkin pie, practiced fractions with pies, and then, we of course had to make pumpkin pie in a cup!

We've been learning about a dolphin named Winter. We viewed the live cams of Clearwater Marine Aquarium where Winter lived.
Mr. Holmes brought in chocolate cake for his intervention students while they read the chapter "Bruce Bogtrotter and the Cake" from the book, Matilda. In the book, Bruce is forced to eat a huge chocolate cake as punishment for stealing a slice of the headmistress' cake!
