March 4th and 5th are elementary Parent / Teacher conferences. If you haven't had a chance to sign up for conferences through SignUpGenius, please call the school office to schedule a conference.
Students will be dismissed at noon on Monday, March 4th, so that teachers have time to finalize and post grades before Parent / Teacher Conferences.

In art the past month with Mrs. Shields, 4th & 5th grade studied primary colors, pop art and onomatopoeias. After learning about pop artist Roy Lichtenstein and his comic strip inspired artwork that incorporated onomatopoeias, students created their own Pop Art Onomatopoeia! 💥
Our Guthridge book fair is going great this week! We have so many great book that our students are enjoying reading in the library! Who doesn't love The One and Only Ivan and now you can get The One and Only Bob and Ruby! Open through March 5.
The results are in and Ivy Brimm’s fifth grade class at Guthridge is the state champion in the 5th-8th grade category of the IXL Sunflower State Sprint competition. See more details in Guthridge News.

Hard Work Pays Off...Go VIKES!
State Champions! Mrs. Brimm's 5th grade class won the IXL Sunflower State Sprint. They answered 48794 questions, Mastered 807 Skills over a 4 week competition. Congratulations to these 19 hard working students and to Mrs. Brimm!

While learning about food chains in science in Mrs. Brimm's class, students played a card game to see who could create the longest food chain. They enjoyed learning about different preys and predators and even discussing the ones that they see in their own yards!
We made butterflies for spring.
We've been working on adjectives and poetry in 5th grade. We finished up the week with some games to practice our skills.
Ms. Boss (beloved substitute teacher) surprised Mr. Holmes' class and Mrs. Gordon's class with a visit and gifts. Thank you, thank you!
