Students were astounded in Mrs. Brimm's class to find out that the Sun doesn't move! They modeled how the Earth rotates around the Sun and created sunrises and sunsets along with representing day and night.

In chapter 6 of Harry Potter, Harry gets to Platform 9 3/4 by going through a brick barrier! Mr. Holmes' students had to go through their own brick barrier to enter the classroom after reading about it!

Students in Mr. Willis's class conducted an experiment where they mixed baking soda and vinegar in a bag and it had a chemical reaction. They drew a model of the experiment and explained what caused the bag to expand/explode.

We've been working on decimal addition and subtraction in class. Today we put those skills to use by ordering meals from a restaurant menu, counting the money we started with and our total money spent. Finally we figured out the change we got back.
