Dear Parents/Guardians of students served by Tri-County, Tri-County is working alongside the school districts we serve to develop a continuous learning plan for the students with IEPs. A group of special education providers have been working diligently to come up with creative ways for students to receive opportunities to learn during the next two months. The first week after Spring Break, parents will be receiving a phone call from the special education provider(s) their child is served by. This will be the first of many contacts parents will receive from the provider. If parents do not receive a phone call after the first week of Spring Break, it may be we do not have current parent contact information. In that case, parents are asked to email the provider with current contact information. Provider emails are on their local school district's website. Parents will also be receiving a Prior Written Notice that describes how services will be delivered over the next two months. This will not be the same type of delivery model or number of minutes as indicated on the IEP - that is impossible with the current CDC Guidance on social distancing. When school returns to normal, the IEP team will reconvene to determine to what extent compensatory services may be needed. While we are working through uncharted territory, Tri-County understands that parents are too. Many of our students, your children, have many needs which will impact day-to-day life for parents. Safety is our number one priority for students and staff, but please know that our staff already miss and are worried about their students. Stay safe during this time- we want to see each of our students' beautiful faces on the other side of this pandemic. Good Morning Middle School Community, Starting on February 18th first hour tardies will be enforced and count toward our tardy policy. We understand that from time to time, there are situations that make students late to school, however, student being late to school has become a real problem to student learning. The parent/student handbook says, the 1st tardy is a warning, the 2nd tardy is an 8th hour handled by the teacher, the 3rd and all subsequent will result in a discipline referral. Continued tardiness will result in parent meeting with school administration and a possible informal hearing. Thank you for working with us to get the kids to school on time.

The MS Wrestling tournament is a great opportunity to grow our young athletes and without our maintenance staff led by James Ramsey this competition would not have been possible. Eric Swanson and Rob Barcus, thanks for allowing the middle school kids to compete in your facilities. It was a great experience for the MS athletes to get a feel for what their high school experience will be like. Jamie Stover and Tina Heydenrych, thank you for always having everything ready for us when we need it. I know you have so many things going on, but keeping me on track is so appreciated! Sue Smith, Terry Woodword, Caleb Bynum, Dave Ferguson, Chris Ball thank you for managing our gates, concessions, tables and tournament. It is a pleasure to know so many trustworthy people while managing this tournament. I acknowledge that it can be extremely difficult to devote those long hours focused on the competitions, and I am grateful for your service. Kayla Robinson and your awesome FACS students, thank you for providing a hospitality room for the event. The food was great and I cannot thank you enough for being so flexible at short notice, thanks for having my back! John Cox, thank you for keeping the hospitality room stocked and running smoothly. I appreciate you spending the evening taking care of others and helping clean up after the tourney was over. Your effort doesn’t go unnoticed. Rod, thank you for simultaneously coaching your MS athletes and managing your HS athletes at the tables. We appreciate how your athletes are always able to clean up after the tournament and secure the equipment. Coach Houk and Coach Schibi, thank you for allowing us to use the gyms at the HS and being flexible enough to grant us the space needed to manage such a large (and growing) tournament. Without a staff willing to give their time to help kids enjoy athletic opportunities, none of this would be possible. I appreciate all of your efforts and THANK YOU for sacrificing time and effort in allowing the kids to have fun participating in middle school athletics. THANK YOU!!! Sincerely, Tyler Gordon Assistant Principal Athletic Director Parsons Middle School
